A few of the things I love: espresso (& my espresso maker), authentic Greek salad (with plenty of feta, of course), my dad’s homemade spaghetti sauce, sticky toffee pudding (from Whistler’s infamous Rim Rock Cafe) and a good, generous pour of Gewurztraminer.
A passionate advocate of eating for pleasure and enjoyment (within reason, of course), I’m also a professional food writer. As the former author of a food column, “Epicurious?” in Whistler, B.C., writing for the phenomenal newsweekly, Pique Newsmagazine, I had the opportunity to dine at some incrediblefine dining establishments, and learn much about the culinary world along the way. I’ve judged cocktail and sommelier competitions, and a variety of “Iron Chef”-style culinary throw-downs between some extremely talented chefs.
Here at EdibleLegible, I’ll be sharing some of my musings with my fellow food-lovers in the online audience at large. While I aim to discover some of the best, affordable places to dine in Nova Scotia (and abroad, should I be travelling), I’ll also be sharing experiences from my own home kitchen, as I love to cook…
